&lt;p&gt;You can enter our free &lt;strong&gt;Royalty on the&amp;nbsp;Road&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;competition to win 2 day passes to Buckingham Palace for August 27th 2012, simply fill in the entry form when you visit the exhibition.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Tom Sabin was a farmer from Allesley in Coventry who was also a highly successful racing cyclist, riding Penny Farthing bicycles.&amp;nbsp; During the 1870s he won races all around Britain, but perhaps his greatest achievements were winning Gold Medals at the Much Wenlock Olympics in 1876, 1877 and 1878.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As part of Coventry Cycling Fesival 2012, and in honour of this forgotten hero, Coventry Transport Museum are proud to organise the Tom Sabin Commemorative Cycle Ride from Coventry Transport Museum to Much Wenlock - the home of the modern Olympics.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This is a ride not a race, and is only suitable for experienced cyclists, who have the ability to ride 100 miles.&lt;/p&gt;

Cycle designer Mike Burrows is perhaps best known for the design of the track carbon-fibre Lotus 108 time trial bicycle manufactured by Lotus for Chris Boardman, when he won the 1992 Olympic 4000m pursuit in Barcelona.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Mike is generally thought to be one of the most creative bicycle designers of modern times, and we are pleased that he will be joining us to give a talk about his work, which as well as the Lotus Chris Boardman bike, also includes recumbent bicycle and tricycles as well as folding bikes.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;On the day of the Festival, Millennium Place in front of  Coventry Transport Museum will come alive with a whole host of FREE  activities for all ages &amp;ndash; and whether you prefer to join in or simply to  watch, you&amp;rsquo;ll find lots to enjoy throughout the whole weekend. And it  doesn&amp;rsquo;t matter whether or not you own a bike, as cycles of all shapes  and sizes will be provided for you to try.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This ride from Coventry Transport Museum to the Lunt Roman Fort is a  fantastic route for the whole family to take part in together.&amp;nbsp; It&amp;rsquo;s  free to enter and there will be plenty of experienced cyclists on hand  to guide you along the way &amp;ndash; and you will even get free entry to the  Lunt Fort when you arrive!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
